Our History



The Society for Poets of Southern New Jersey was formed in 1980 by a group of friends who discovered a common bond in their love of writing, listening to and sharing the art of poetry.

Our circle began to grow and reach out. Today it continues to grow with nearly fifty members from the greater South Jersey and Philadelphia area.


What We Do

Our monthly meetings provide receptive, friendly forums for sharing and appreciating poetry.

Our Meetings are regularly on the last Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at:
Friends Meeting House, 124 N. Broad Street, Woodbury, New Jersey
